We are growing our ranks in Fort McMurray and have a great security opportunity for you! Garda Fort McMurray is currently seeking a Security Patrol Guard for our town projects. This position offers a rotational shift of seven night shifts on seven days off, shifts are twelve hours and all nights.

What does a Patrol Security Guard in Fort McMurray do?

• Vehicle and foot patrols of buildings including access control
• Extensive walking required, including multiple flights of stairs, in a 12-hour shift
• Function as a first responder in case of a crisis or emergency
• Providing friendly customer service and client relations
• Cross-training for multiple post
• Diligently follow safety protocols, instructions, policies, and procedures. Security personnel should always demonstrate a work safe attitude
• Excellent computer skills and report writing

Qualifications to become a Security Guard with Garda Fort McMurray Branch.

• A valid Alberta security guard license
• Standard first aid level-C with AED and CPR card
• CSO (common safety orientation)
• CSTS (construction safety training systems)
• Class 5 Drivers License (NON GDL)
• Clear Driver's Abstract
• Be eligible to work in Canada, and 18 years of age
• Pass drug and alcohol testing
