What does a Security Guard Dispatch in Fort McMurray do?
- Ability to use computers and complete timely spoken and written correspondence
- Willingness to complete multiple online site-specific trainings as well as in person training
- Ability to progress in a standardized dispatch training plan and meet certifications within three months
- Responsible for the collecting of information and dispatching emergency services for various emergency situations such as medical emergencies, fire alarms, fires, etc.
- Knowledgeable of all the policies and procedures related to emergency dispatching; ability to conduct duties under pressure
- As the dispatcher, you must assist the Security Shift Supervisor and ensure all instructions are given to the appropriate team members.
- Help oversee all daily security operations.
- Teamwork skills, positive friendly engagement while providing client services

Qualifications to become a Security Guard with Garda Fort McMurray Branch.
- Valid Alberta Security Guard Licence
- Class 5 Driver's License Advanced (non GDL)
- Driver's Abstract (3-5 years)
- Willing to complete a class 4 driver's license within 3 months
- WHMIS
- CSO (common safety orientation)
- Standard First Aid Level-C (2-day course)
- High School Diploma
- Orientations including Wildlife and Fit testing (training provided)
- Pass drug and alcohol testing
- Security experience
