What does a Security Guard Dispatch in Fort McMurray do?

• Ability to use computers and complete timely spoken and written correspondence
• Willingness to complete multiple online site-specific trainings as well as in person training
• Ability to progress in a standardized dispatch training plan and meet certifications within three months
• Responsible for the collecting of information and dispatching emergency services for various emergency situations such as medical emergencies, fire alarms, fires, etc.
• Knowledgeable of all the policies and procedures related to emergency dispatching; ability to conduct duties under pressure
• As the dispatcher, you must assist the Security Shift Supervisor and ensure all instructions are given to the appropriate team members.
• Help oversee all daily security operations.
• Teamwork skills, positive friendly engagement while providing client services

Qualifications to become a Security Guard with Garda Fort McMurray Branch.

• Valid Alberta Security Guard Licence
• Class 5 Driver's License Advanced (non GDL)
• Driver's Abstract (3-5 years)
• Willing to complete a class 4 driver's license within 3 months
• WHMIS
• CSO (common safety orientation)
• Standard First Aid Level-C (2-day course)
• High School Diploma
• Orientations including Wildlife and Fit testing (training provided)
• Pass drug and alcohol testing
• Security experience
