Department Overview

TECE G&C is a first line of defense (1B) function and is accountable for:

  • Risk Culture – Fostering an effective, transparent culture of risk awareness; evaluating business strategy and activities against risk appetite; and providing management and stakeholders with sufficient and timely insight to enable effective oversight.
  • Risk & Control Activities – Ensuring that TECE businesses adequately identify, assess, and develop risk mitigation strategies to manage current and emerging risk exposures across all risk categories; supporting the design, implementation, and sustainment of controls within key processes and procedures; and ensuring effective control testing and monitoring, documentation of results, and tracking execution of action plans to resolution.
  • Governance, Issues Management & Reporting – Advising on and facilitating discussions with management and stakeholders on relevant internal and external considerations; collaborating with the business to maintain processes to expediently resolve incidents; identifying and tracking issues to remediation; and developing processes to create timely reporting to inform on areas of increasing risk and enable proactive, data-driven, risk-based decision making.

TECE also includes the SCOE function, which is responsible for the creation of strategy for the TECE segment and is comprised of several Bank-wide Centres of Excellence that provide critical support to enterprise projects (e.g., Enterprise Change Management, Enterprise Digitization & Automation, Enterprise Process Engineering, Enterprise Business Architecture, and Operational Excellence).

Accountabilities:

The Transformation, Enablement & Customer Experience (TECE) Governance & Control (G&C) Team is hiring a Senior Governance & Control Analyst to support centralized reporting and trending analysis for supported TECE businesses (e.g.,: North American Contact Centre; ATM; Enterprise Data & Analytics; Payments; Marketing; and Strategy, Change & Operational Excellence (SCOE)), as well as to support work on areas of horizontal coverage for TECE G&C. In this role, the successful candidate will deliver issues management reporting, FTE tracking, and data insights to optimize businesses performance results, while also working collaboratively with other TECE G&C colleagues.
Specific responsibilities of this Senior Governance & Control Analyst position include but are not limited to:

  • Develop reporting packages, dashboards and scorecards for supported businesses and TECE G&C
  • Tracking the FTE in the TECE G&C Team and preparing summary presentations to TECE G&C leadership team and deliverables to our Finance Partners including FTE Forecasts
  • Develop and maintain onboarding materials and playbooks for TECE G&C colleagues and supported businesses
  • Support work to assess 1B maturity and horizontal coverage of supported businesses
  • Support the assessment of operational processes and applicable regulations of supported businesses and the identifications of controls to mitigate risk

Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree preferred
  • 5+ years of experience
  • Knowledge of governance, risk and control procedures, strategies, and tactics
  • Knowledge of risk management environment, standards, regulations, and mitigation
  • Ability to work independently and exercise sound judgement in making decisions
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent team player with demonstrated collaboration, interpersonal, and relationship management skills and an ability to make things happen through positive influence
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated time management and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple initiatives
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite products
