Job Description


Reporting to the Team Lead, Set Coordination, the Senior Set Coordinator will drive a high performing team of Set Coordinators responsible for the completion of photoshoot requirements according to quantitative and qualitative success metrics across Womenswear, Menswear and/or Everything Else product categories. Working as part of a multidisciplinary content production team for e-commerce that answers to the Studio Producing team’s planning, he/she will oversee proper execution of on-figure and off-figure photoshoot operations and deliver against strict deadlines. This role works closely with all roles in the Studio and requires a highly collaborative style with the ability to influence and motivate others.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Studio Production - 70% of time

  • Lead Set Coordinators work by ensuring accurate execution and driving operational effectiveness
  • Oversee full completion of assigned productions, ensuring photoshoots daily targets are met as per the agreed upon quality, SSENSE identity, and brand guidelines
  • Monitor and communicate production status throughout for various studio activities deliverables, identifying deviations, report risks and escalate issues by providing impact on production planned
  • Maintain accurate operational performance visibility by overseeing the quality of the production data entry and ensuring studio metric dashboards are daily updated
  • Onboard freelancers and models by providing training on office protocol and Studio best practices, track and report on third party mandate fulfillment for assessing brand value alignment.
  • Oversee end-to-end merchandise on-set care and handling, monitoring damages, ensuring proper labelling and back to stock
  • Receive project and special launches briefs from the Studio Producing team and activate production plans, supervising the setting up for physical space, equipment and resources utilization.
  • Ensure cleanliness, order, safety on set and ensure adequate maintenance of equipment

Training and Development - 20% of time

  • Support the Team Lead, Set Coordination with onboarding related tasks, help coach and train a capable and talented team of Set Coordinators
  • Developing training materials, maintain and improve the knowledge base through standard, concise and relevant documentation

Continuous improvement - 10% of time

  • Implement business initiatives to improve daily operations, productivity, communication and ways of working as it relates to studio production processes, workflows and standardization of tools and procedures
  • Lead execution of visual production projects to optimize business performance through accurate on set mechanisms

Qualifications
  • College or University diploma in Fashion Marketing, BA or a related field
  • 3-5 years experience of coordination or logistics experience in a fashion or e-commerce environment
  • Knowledge of textiles and garment care.
  • Experience working with apparel, an asset
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets
  • Good written and verbal communication skills in both English and French
  • Knowledge of fashion, styling and photography, an asset
  • Must be open to work evenings and weekends as required
  • Ability to walk 5 km per day with equipment and/or stand for extended periods, when required
