What You'll Do:

Candidate will be responsible for but not limited to supporting aircraft in-service design related activities for a commercial aircraft.

Your Duties,
  • Provide technical design solutions for in-service issues while considering operator cost, operator rework time and minimizing engineering lead time.
  • Take responsibility End-to-End from a case when assigned to the designer from dispatcher
  • Liaise with Stress/M&P team to assess repair disposition to the airline
  • Launch release process (review/approval/signature)
  • Provide repair disposition to airline by CRM
  • Provide stress substantiation to airline once provided by Stress team
  • Respond to customers’ technical and troubleshooting queries, which involve resolving a wide range of long-term maintenance in-service issues
  • Coordinate with on-site and off-shore team tasks design activities.
  • Participate to other engineering functions reviews (primary structure, secondary structure) in order to track progress, highlight risks and make sure commitments are respected.

What you'll have-
  • You have a Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering Degree.
  • You have previous working experience on Aircraft program.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience with in-service engineering (Maintenance Engineering and/or Fleet Management/Fleet Technical Support) is an asset.
  • A minimum of 8 years of experience of design of aircraft airframe and system installation.
  • You have the ability to make solidified and accurate decisions exercising good judgment skills.
  • You have the ability to multitask and to be flexible to change tasks with little or no notice.
  • You are a team player with strong communication (verbal and written), being able to coordinate between key stakeholders.
  • You are organized, able to manage your time and be able to prioritize tasks effectively with short deadlines.
  • You are fluid both in English and French (spoken and written)
  • Strong knowledge of product lifecycle management tools (CATIA, ENOVIA, VPM Nav)
  • Knowledge of ASRP and AMP
  • Familiar with Airbus A220 in-service engineering release vehicles
  • Knowledge of repair engineering orders
  • Basic knowledge of the following tools: FSDMS, CDMA, ECAD CAPITAL (CHS) and eRoom and E-Reports is an asset
  • You are comfortable in interrogating aircraft structure repair;
  • You have knowledge of GSuite software
  • Having knowledge of A220 engineering, drawing and configuration management is an asset
  • Having detailed knowledge of airline operation, engineering and maintenance is an asset.
