The Position

We’re on the hunt for a Senior/ Intermediate Financial Analyst- Financial Reporting on our corporate finance team at our Brampton office.

Responsibilities:

• Works closely with corporate finance and shared services functions in the monthly close of financial reporting process and consolidation
• Prepares monthly and quarterly adjusting entries, reconciliations and continuity schedules in accordance with IFRS
• Analyzes data, conducts variance and trend analyses and reports findings
• Prepares audit schedules and liaise with external/internal auditors
• Assists on ad hoc projects as required

Requirements:

• Post second degree, has or is working towards the CPA designation
• At least two years of accumulated experience in relevant accounting disciplines, ideally with experience from public practice accounting firms
• Strong time management skills and communication skills
• High level of professionalism and initiative
• Aptitude for identifying, reviewing and evaluating and analyzing complex information relevant to real business analysis and decision needs
• Highly skilled with the Microsoft Office Suite
• Must be able to work with minimal supervision

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

MUST HAVE 1: 3-5 Years of Accounting or Finance experience

• Financial Reporting
• Public Accounting experience
• Good communication

MUST HAVE 2: Excel

• Vlookups, Pivot Tables

MUSTH HAVE 3: CPA

• in progress or completed

*Need to have been in Canada for the past 5 years to pass control goods*

*Second Year Senior in the firms would be an ideal candidate*

NICE TO HAVE:

• IFRS
• Knowledge of space industry/ MDA
• ERP System experience (InforLN)

Soft Skills

- Good oral and written communication - Will be communicating with customers and employees across Canada and the US. Need to be a solid communicator.
