goeasy is seeking a bright and self-motivated Senior Financial Analyst looking to be part of a great Canadian Success story. This position is responsible for general accounting and financial analysis for the financial services business side of the company. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Finance the incumbent will be part of a team that will be responsible for full cycle accounting, financial statement preparation and analysis. The role involves dealing with operations located across Canada and will be a key part of the team providing support to store managers and senior management for finance and accounting matters.

Key Accountabilities (include but are not limited to):

• Work as a business partner within a fast paced ever evolving financing business, meeting passionate colleagues and partners with diverse backgrounds, experiences and needs.
• Manage the period close and financial reporting process. Prepare and present periodic, quarterly and annual P&L results and performance drivers to various stakeholders.
• Own the preparation, maintenance and support of balance sheet accounts and related working papers.
• Adherence to company’s internal control over financial reporting processes and procedures.
• Lead investigation into discrepancies and explaining variances from budget and forecast.
• Answer questions from operations and process accounting adjustments as needed.
• Adherence to all period end reporting timelines.
• Provide valuable support to operations and process accounting adjustments as needed.
• Ad-hoc projects.

Qualifications:

• 5 years’ minimum experience in an accounting role
• Professional qualification in accounting i.e., CPA or studying towards designation.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Working knowledge of IFRS
• Strong MS Excel / MS Access skills
• Prior experience with Microsoft Dynamics preferred
• Ability to multi-task and flexible to shifting priorities
• Comfortable in dealing with senior management and operations
• Highly motivated and capable of working with minimum supervision
• Finance industry experience an asset
• Detail oriented, and able to work under pressure
