Social Media and PR Strategist

The incumbent reports directly to the CRM Director and will be responsible for creating compelling communication campaigns to build and represent the brand on social media and the internet. He/she will act as an ambassador to build and maintain brand engagement. He/she is also involved in internal and external communications. He/she is responsible for planning, managing and posting all content on the various social networks according to optimal posting times, monitoring comments, managing and ensuring the execution of our public relations activities and analyzing the results of the various initiatives.

What your day would look like:

  • Serve as a leader on social media strategy and public relations initiatives.
  • Create and manage schedules and content on various social media and PR initiatives to ensure all components are prepared in a timely manner and aligned with current events, promotions and collections.
  • Interact with Bouclair's online community on various communication platforms to establish and maintain a relationship of trust and a sense of ownership of the brand.
  • Oversee and manage collaboration between Bouclair and its partners on social networks (Influencers) and other external partnerships
  • Determine and track key performance indicators by creating reports using Google Analytics, Instagram Statistics, Facebook Insights, Iconosquare, Pinterest Analytics, etc. and any other performance measurement tools to analyze the results of all our initiatives and forecast short and long term growth of our networks.
  • Collaborate with the photography studio and graphic design team to develop visual content for social media platforms and public relations, including but not limited to story development, content creation, ad selection, lookbooks for media.
  • Collaborate with the customer service department on occasion to resolve client issues.
  • Pay attention to customer feedback and analyze the company's performance on social media to determine an optimal strategy to attract new customers and retain existing ones.
  • In collaboration with our Copywriter, write effective, targeted external and electronic marketing communications that demonstrate creativity, passion and commitment to our clients.
  • Manage public relations and social media budgets
  • Be the primary point of contact for public relations requests. Review and approve media requests (photo requests, product descriptions, TV segments, product requests, etc.) and ensure adherence to brand guidelines and objectives.
  • Design and publish content (images, videos, stories, livestreaming) to acquire new customers, support brand goals, and increase brand awareness on social media (Facebook, Instagram, Tiktok, Pinterest)
  • Keep Facebook, Instagram and Pinterest stores updated to ensure they always reflect new products and collections.

What you have to offer:

  • Bachelor's degree in communications, journalism, marketing or e-commerce.
  • 2 years of experience as a social media coordinator or strategist, preferably in retail.
  • Knowledge of social media management tools (Facebook Ad Management, Instagram for businesses, Pinterest for businesses, "YouTube Channel"), and trends (hashtags, hyperlinks, etc.) and analytics tools (Iconosquare, Pinterest, Facebook Analytics and Google Analytics)
  • Knowledge of the retail industry is an asset.
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Knowledge of InDesign, Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop is an asset.
  • Good writing skills including the ability to write communications in a variety of styles to meet the needs of various projects and audiences.
  • Good command of grammar, spelling and punctuation in English and French.
  • Strong organizational, initiative and creative skills.
  • Good analytical skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage priorities.
  • Good interpersonal skills.
  • Passion for social media and communications.
