Mission:
Reporting to the Executive Director, the Social Worker maximizes the client/family’s functioning within the context of rehabilitation, maintenance or palliation. The Social Worker enhances the problem solving and coping capacity of individuals and families/caregivers utilizing a variety of interventions. Key Outcomes:

We're looking for a compassionate and reliable individual with a commitment to helping others. The right candidate will be responsible for planning and implementing programs that encourage individuals to develop valuable social skills, such as empathy and problem-solving. We're looking for someone who has experience working with people deficient in these areas, and who is able to cultivate social environments that promote growth and health.
Responsibilities:
- Advise clients on medical, financial, and social issues.
- Provide emotional support to the client and his or her family and friends.
- Provide resources to clients regarding specific problems such as legal aid and medical care.
- Be aware of community resources available to homeless, elderly, low-income and mentally ill populations.
- Work with other agencies such as schools, homeless shelters, etc., in order to better help the client.
- Participate in case conference with other professionals and the client's family.
