What you’ll do

The IT Architecture team plays a key role in delivering Cloud transformation to the enterprise. We build and manage public cloud platforms on Azure, as well as the full developer toolchain including Azure DevOps, Jenkins, Terraform, Artifactory, and more. We’re constantly improving our platforms by updating and adding new services and partnering with our solution partners across CTC to deliver value through cloud enablement and automation.

Cloud Architects are domain experts delivering architecture and guidance to the Cloud Platform team and internal IT customers. Working in an agile team, you will leverage your cloud, DevOps, and architecture skills to deliver architecture artifacts (standards documents, “hello world” examples, platform services roadmap). You partner closely with other domain architects, engineers, and project leads to build enterprise grade solutions.

  • Deliver quality work in an agile delivery model in a team environment
  • Represent the Cloud Platform domain in the IT Architecture team
  • Act as a trusted advisor and advocate for Cloud Platforms
  • Liaise with other domain architects to establish strategy and mindshare
  • Provide demos to Cloud Platform team
  • Provide technical and approach leadership to the Cloud Platform team and stakeholders
  • Create and maintain technical documentation
  • Support development programs to build cloud native applications
  • Lead the building of cloud strategies and target reference architectures.
  • Communicate timelines, dependencies, constraints, and progress quickly and effectively

What you bring

  • Degree in Computer Science or Engineering, or equivalent relevant experience
  • 5+ years of technical experience in either development, operations, or full-stack implementations
  • Expert in Azure
  • Expert in developing infrastructure as code (Terraform, ARM templates, etc)
  • Expert knowledge of Linux server administration
  • Expert networking fundamentals including VNETs, subnetting, NSGs, routing, firewalls, DNS
  • Expert in build automation tools such as Jenkins, Artifactory, Ansible, Terraform, ADO, etc.
  • Experience interpreting and applying security best practices to create, harden and secure infrastructure and applications
  • Experience with container technologies including Docker and Kubernetes, Helm
  • Experience working in a high security or heavily regulated environment
  • Experience working in an Agile Scrum environment
  • Experience with collaboration tools like Microsoft Teams, JIRA and Confluence
  • Excellent analytics, problem solving and solutioning skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Creative and courageous, with the ability to manage in an environment of change and ambiguity
  • Action oriented, and comfortable taking calculated risks to better serve our customers and business
