These skills are important for the Digital and Information Technology (D&IT) organization to translate business objectives into optimal solutions, guide the creation and evolution of digital architectures, harness emerging technology and transform the enterprise through delivering new digital capabilities. In this role, you will provide architectural direction throughout the process of planning, developing, configuring, integrating, and maintaining Suncor’s technology solutions.
Minimum Requirements:
-
10 years experience architecting and delivering enterprise-grade Operational Technology (OT) and IT/Digital solutions for Oil and Gas Hydrocarbon Value Chain, data analytics and supporting cloud infrastructure.

Experience in business solutions for IOT, predictive modeling, data driven optimizations, data analytics solutions.

An undergraduate degree or relevant education in Computer Science, Software Engineering, MIS or Business

Broad knowledge of business, applications, information, and analytics, technical, infrastructure and security architectures including exposure to major OT/IT software and cloud vendors and solutions.

Strong technical writing and IT architecture modelling capabilities (contextual, conceptual and logical) to author technical solution documents that align to existing policies, standards and roadmaps

Experience and/or formal training in architectural design and common industry frameworks and architectural tools.

Excellent interpersonal and communications skills, ability to build key relationships with stakeholders, Strong conflict resolution, negotiation, and decision-making abilities on projects with tight timelines
Responsibilities:

Establish, document, and communicate the technical vision for the solution/product and the plan to achieve it in alignment to business outcomes and Suncor’s architecture policies, standards, roadmaps.

Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders including product teams, business clients, technical stakeholders, and third-party solution or service providers

Develop and maintain architecture models, technical capability models and roadmaps for digital products and product categories in Enterprise Architecture repository

Must demonstrate good judgment and pragmatic approach to developing and implementing software that optimizes architecture activities across company needs, business constraints and technological realities

Review, approve work and provide oversight to solution architecture resources across our outsourced and contracted workforces.

You will work out of our Calgary head office, located in the Suncor Energy Centre at 150 – 6th Ave S.W.

Hours of work are a regular 40-hour work week, Monday to Friday
