SpeechEase is looking to hire multiple experienced and enthusiastic SLPs. There are positions at our two clinic locations in the lower mainland ; Coquitlam and Burnaby. We are looking to hire two or three (dependent on full or part time) positions, these will be clinic based.

We are open to hiring employees and contractors.

Responsibilities include assessment, direct therapy (individual & group), and consultation with school-based team, parents, and other professionals.

Knowledge and interest in the areas of social skills, augmentative and alternative communication, articulation and phonology, literacy, and general language-based interventions recommended

General caseload information: The bulk of our clients are aged 3-18, diagnoses may include autism, genetic syndrome (Down syndrome, Williams syndrome, DiGeorge syndrome etc), learning disability, cognitive disability.

However, we do also have a growing voice and neurology caseload.

Knowledge & Abilities

• Broad knowledge of evidence based practice.
• Broad knowledge of other health care disciplines and their role in client care.
• Broad knowledge of research process and methodology.
• Broad knowledge of adult education principles, methods and tools.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
• Demonstrated ability to operate related computer equipment.
• Demonstrated ability to organize and prioritize workload.
• Demonstrated ability to determine and deal effectively with urgent situations, clients/families/residents.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and deliver presentations.
• Demonstrated ability to provide effective consultation.
• Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with other healthcare professionals.
• Physical ability to perform the duties of the job.

Days of work flexible, at least one weekend day availability is preferred. The hours of work including days off and work area may be subject to change consistent with operational requirements. Successful applicants may be required to complete a Criminal Records Review Check.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Part-time hours: 2-35 per week

Salary: $70.00-$100.00 per hour
