Two (2) Continuing Education Teachers
One teacher for grades SK to 3
One teacher for grades 4 to 7
The Program
The program will be divided into two sections (grades SK to 3 and 4 to 7) and will provide an opportunity for students to further strengthen their literacy and numeracy skills while engaging in high-interest interactive learning opportunities. The program is intended to increase student achievement while having fun!
Qualifications
Ontario College of Teachers registration, in good standing. Primary/Junior and Junior/Intermediate qualifications, respectively. required.
Classroom and programming experience and Literacy and Numeracy related additional qualifications an asset.
Demonstrated regular attendance at work.
Responsibilities
Develop an engaging learning schedule that provides a balance of interactive and hands-on experiences in an inclusive environment.
Create opportunities for community members and knowledgeable others to support student learning and engagement.
Work with the Indigenous Lead and knowledgeable others to embed culturally relevant learning connections to the curriculum.
Track, monitor and support and assess student progress and compile and report data.
Support students with access to and usage of tools and platforms to support and enhance learning.
Communicate and coordinate with the Summer Learning Principal and the team to fulfill the needs of the students and the program.
Differentiate learning opportunities to reflect the needs of all learners.
Other duties as may be required to fulfill the needs of the program.
Location
The successful candidate will support students in the Superior-Greenstone District School Board region through student-familiar virtual platforms or in person depending on interest of students.
Hours July 3 & 4 : Training/Planning
July 5-25: (3 weeks (Mon to Fri) 3 hours/day: 2 hours synchronous & 1 hour asynchronous for connecting with families, planning, collaboration & tasking students with an outside/physical activity.
