We design, test, manufacture and assemble landing gear used on commercial aircraft including Airbus and Boeing, Bombardier and the military. Job Title: Supply Chain Specialist
Location: Ajax Ontario

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monthly Reconciliation and Consolidation of PERFO& SUPPLIER of all Suppliers
  • Supplier Visits - unplanned - crisis management , Quality and Delivery (includes travel time)
  • NCR and Concessions Management, expediting concessions and returning non-conforming product, quarantine management
  • Supplier Schedule, review prior to sending weekly, obtain commitments, conference calls if required and updating SAP with delivery commitments
  • Purchase Order Management – issue purchase orders in line with stock targets
  • Re-scheduling – management of exception messages to harmonize the supply and demand
  • LOB and LRU delivery updates
  • Sales Order management - demand changes, MPS
  • Pilot the "Amber” level of the escalation process
  • Shortage management – OE, CS measure the supplier's logistic performance, recovery plans
  • Performance/Program Reviews
  • Change Management Process - configuration changes, RFDC
  • Un-receivables and receiving inspection support
  • Material Master updates - lead-time , buyer code, safety time , batch sizes
  • LEA activities, updated parts list
  • COSA management
  • Sale of Raw material
  • Notice of Escape Management
  • CS requests - for expedite and harmonization of supply and demand
  • Quality Improvement plans - support SQA on improvement plans
  • Planning - OVRMs implementation and management
  • Change Management Process - configuration changes, RFDC
  • Business Improvements - special projects, lean , improve ideas
  • Industrialization Support
  • Rate Readiness Assessments - Support SPL's during audits, average 1 per year
  • SAP part management - lost parts, inventory adjustments, end user statements
  • SAP contract management - pricing, updating PO's, part set-up
  • Preparation for Customer PRA's
  • Blocked Invoices - resolution of invoices

Qualifications:

Skills & Core Competencies:

  • Solid leadership skills, excellent oral, written and presentation skills, rigor and self-discipline, outstanding teamwork, interpersonal and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and work with tight timelines
  • sound understanding of SAP and manufacturing Processes along with the ability to interpret blueprints and specifications; comprehensive understanding and use of Microsoft Office products, especially Excel

Education &/or Certifications:

Relevant University Degree or College Diploma (e.g. Supply Chain Management or Operations Management) and/or PMAC certification

Work Experience:

3-5 years Supply Chain Management experience in Aerospace Manufacturing or High Tech Environment

Specialized Knowledge:

SAP and Landing Gear/Aerospace manufacturing and special processing

Communication Skills

Internal: Ability to work effectively with other functions consistent with the company values
External: Manage the Supplier relationship within the framework for the contract

Bilingual would be an asset.
