Hours of Work: 40 hours per week

Wage: $19 - $21 per hour

Position Overview

The successful candidate will be tasked with providing technical support to employees and students by answering queries on technical issues, providing solutions to solve the problems and training on how to avoid future issues. This candidate will also be responsible for the installation, configuration and maintenance of the campus classroom hardware and devices primarily at the Barrie campus. On occasion the candidate may be required to travel to our North Bay campus.

Education

Post secondary education in a computer and networking technology program or equivalent. Experience will be considered in place of formal education.

Experience

Previous experience working within a technical support position is an asset but not a requirement.

Knowledge

• Understanding of Google suite
• Needs to be able to tackle troubleshooting situations and provide a solution to the issues on various school platforms

Technical Recommendations (Not required)

• CompTIA A+ certification
• CompTIA Network+ certification

Abilities

• Work with competing priorities and multitask;
• Deadline driven;
• Aptitude for learning new technology;
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
• Ability to provide administration and technical support in a variety of platforms (Moodle, Adobe Connect, and Google Workspace)
• Provide technical support for a variety of student software applications our programs (Sage, Quickbooks, Microsoft Office 365, etc.)
• Utilizing remote support tools (Teamviewer)
