Robert Half is recruiting for a Technical Representative to join out clients long standing family business located in Woodbridge.
The Technical Representative will oversee a broad array of sales, customer service and account management.
Working remote, with occasional days in our clients office located in Woodbridge, as part of a team that is the first point of contact to all our new and existing customers, the ideal candidate will be able to quickly build a relationship with clients through technical visits, inbound/outbound calls and emails.
Position Responsibilities:
- Generate revenue, building and maintaining a client database, and promoting products and services;
- Identify, develop and cultivate both existing and new business relationships within the Construction Sector and Associations;
- Attend industry/network events to build new relationships and provide feedback and information on market trends;
- Assist with marketing and promotions, including trade shows, lunch and learns and establishing new avenues of generating income;
- Build your knowledge of products and services as well as similar products which pertain to the skylight field;
- Attend at weekly production meetings;
- Field duties including meeting with architects, spec writers, consultants, contractors, roofing contractors and owners;
- Ensure proper safety attire for site meetings, including, but not limited to, hard hat, safety shoes and glasses;
- Fill Sales Reports with daily appointment calendar, Daily Expense Report and Quarterly Sales Revenue Report;
- Expand and maintain a dealer network, including existing house accounts;
- Ensure appropriate customer service conduct;
- Manage all customer inquiries and provide prompt responses and quotes;
- Take calls regarding sales and technical inquiries, and proactively follow up on sales quotes and sales opportunities;
- Consult with clients after sale or signed contracts to resolve problems and to provide ongoing support;
- Other customer service duties as assigned;
Post Secondary Diploma or Degree in Architecture, Engineering or related field
- Excellent English communication skills (written and verbal)
- Ability to read and interpret Architectural Drawings
- 5+ years of sales experience, with a proven track record in B2B or a strong architecture, engineering understanding with a desire to get into a sales role
- Proficiency with MS Office (Word, PowerPoint and Excel) and ability to learn new software
- Drivers License with clear Abstract Report
- Self-motivated, with strong initiative, team player and ability to work independently with minimum supervision.
Additional Assets (not required):
- Knowledge of construction industry and building codes
- Portuguese, Spanish or French language fluency
