Job Description
Our client, Market Recon (Canada's premier shopper marketing and education company) is currently recruiting an enthusiastic candidate to join one of their top clients, Dr. Oetker, as a Territory Sales and Marketing Representative for Trois-Rivières.
This position is 85% merchandising and 15% sales, and the candidate must have a valid driver's license and a reliable vehicle to travel the territory (car allowance is paid).
The ideal candidate will work and reside in their assigned territory which includes Trois-Rivières, Shawinigan, Berthierville, Louisville, Sorel, Drummondville and Victoriaville.
Hours: Monday through Friday, 40 hours per week (no evenings or weekends)
A base salary is offered (to be determined based on experience) plus additional perks; monthly cell allowance ($75) & monthly car allowance ($850) and sales bonuses!
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for managing and executing marketing/sales strategy in specific grocery and retail territory daily.
- Responsible for communication and promotion support for the various accounts; including building secondary spaces, upselling orders, and executing account and marketing programs.
- Ensure operational excellence through the management of the visit cycle, frequency, coverage, and time management in store.
- Meet the weekly objectives of the program by preparing the execution in the field as well as reports contained in your tablet.
- Present, promote and sell innovative products as well as programs used to promote brand awareness (advertising campaigns, demo programs).
- Strengthen brand presence through interactions with heads of departments and directors.
- Respect of the weekly, monthly, and quarterly quotas of the sales program (secondary spaces, articles contained in the spaces, distribution, upsell/upsell).
- Train stores on retail program goals and objectives.
- Maintain strong relationships with store staff.
- Create a positive and engaging experience between the consumer and the brand.
- Provide feedback to District Manager.
Job requirements:
- Experience with major retailers and grocery stores.
- Experience in merchandising and auditing.
- Functional French and English written and spoken.
- Strong skills in sales, upselling and negotiation.
- Excellent interpersonal and verbal and written communication skills.
- Attention to detail, organization, and ability to prioritize and multi-task.
- Ability to adapt and work independently with minimal supervision.
- Well organized, have the ability to make decisions.
- Technology knowledge and computer proficiency, including being comfortable with digital technology, cloud applications, portable devices (tablet, camera, etc.).
- Available to travel in and around the assigned market (Trois-Rivières).
- Ability to work in and out of freezers and lift heavy objects.
- Must have a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- A full criminal background check is required.
- Must be legally entitled to work in Canada.
