Summary
Are you an experienced Tack Truck Driver? Are you looking for a change where your experience and skills will be appreciated?

EConstruction, a division of N.P.A. is now hiring a Tack Truck Driver for our Cold Lake division for the upcoming 2023 Construction Season.

Key Responsibilities

  • Proper machine startup, operation, and shutdown knowledge.
  • Operate the distributor safely and efficiently.
  • Understand and follow directions from supervisors as to the required work area and emulsion distribution rates.
  • Filling asphalt and burner fuel tanks, cleaning and setting spray bars, and cleaning excess asphalt out of tanks.
  • Perform daily maintenance checks and report any mechanical or safety issues to supervisors.
  • Monitor vehicle performance and mechanical fitness.
  • Work with the asphalt paving crew when the distributor is not required.
  • Other related construction labour duties as required.

Qualifications I Requirements

  • High School diploma or G.E.D preferred
  • Class 5 driver's license required
  • Minimum 5-7 years experience within the road construction industry
  • Minimum 3-5 years experience operating a Tack Truck is required

Working Conditions

  • Schedule of 24 working days and 4 days off (weather dependent). Overtime is paid in accordance with applicable employment standards legislation.
  • Ability to work out-of-town and remote locations may be required. Accommodations and Live Out Allowance is applicable in most situations.
  • Work is performed in an outdoor setting, which could include inclement weather, heat and humidity, and exposure to dust and asphalt.
  • Must be physically able to repetitively lift and carry at least 50 LBS on a regular basis.
  • Use of Personal Protection Equipment is required.
  • Use of sunscreen, long sleeves, and appropriate headgear is recommended.
  • Must comply with the company's drug and alcohol testing requirements.
