We are hiring Class 1 Drivers for City (Pick-up and Delivery) in Burnaby.

What you will be doing:

• Flexibility to drive various Class 1 vehicles and equipment, must be able to drive manual transmission
• Ensure secure loads, pick-up and deliver freight locally
• Have a natural customer service focus
• Maintain routine communication with dispatch/yard control
• Perform daily inspections and safety checks
• Work in a team-oriented, fast paced environment
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

What are we looking for:

• You have a Class 1 license, air brake endorsement, and a clean driver’s abstract
• Minimum one year of Class 1 driving experience, local P&D preferred
• Familiarity with local area truck routes, industrial zones and dangerous goods routes is an asset
• Fluent in English
• This is a unionized position and shifts are determined on a seniority basis. All candidates must be available for any shift (24-hour operations)
• Candidates must have reliable means of transportation to get to work
• Candidates must pass a criminal background and drug test for illegal substance - company paid
