Clerk, Warehouse Operations

The Clerk, Warehouse Operations performs clerical duties including data entry, reception, word processing and record keeping to support the operation of the Langley Warehouse and supply distribution service.

What you’ll do
  • Answers telephone calls by providing general information, transferring calls or taking messages. Performs reception duties by receiving visitors, directing to appropriate areas and responding to inquiries; refers/escalates as appropriate.
  • Contacts internal/external customers, as required, to obtain and/or relay pre-established information; forwards information obtained to supervisor/delegate.
  • Completes data entry of customer requisitions for supplies by transferring information into computerized inventory management system.
  • Updates information and performs data entry as directed by transferring inventory adjustment information into the computerized inventory management system.
  • Maintains departmental data integrity by utilizing database applications.
  • Sets up and maintains document filing systems for the regional warehouse and supply distribution service including correspondence, reports and supply and equipment records.
  • Utilizes word processing and spreadsheet applications to type from draft correspondence, minutes and reports and prepare spreadsheets as required.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

  • Grade 12 and one (1) years’ recent, related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

  • Ability to keyboard at 45 w.p.m.

  • Ability to operate related equipment.
  • Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position.

Location: The Langley Fulfillment Centre (referred to as the Langley Campus and consisting of two buildings) will be the incumbent’s home work location.

The incumbent may be required to work at other lower mainland warehouse locations, based on operational needs, that include the following worksites. Travel required, as needed.
