The Handyman/floater person will perform an array of functions including but not limited to maintain the overall cleanliness, neatness, inventory and equipment at all times including set up and tear down for in house events in Serendipity and perform other general labour duties as assigned.

Job Descriptions

Keep warehouse neat and clean at all times

• Repair décor items as required

• Load items onto trailer/truck in preparation for events in a timely and safe manner taking care to ensure items are not damaged

• Unload items from trailer/truck after events in a timely and safe manner taking care to ensure items are not damaged

• Ensuring items are not stored in trailer especially in winter months.

• Works directly with the Admin Staff to ensure smooth communication at all times

• Organizes and facilitates the logistics of our warehouse

• Sort and place materials or items on racks, shelves or in bins according to organizational and labelling standards

• Works within allotted time laid out by venue and/or fcc décor supervisor

• Clean and/or repair items as necessary

• Maintains inventory controls by collecting packing list orders, recording amounts of materials or items received or distributed.

• May also assist in counting of physical inventory

• Clean office and warehouse including washrooms as per company standards

• Set up Serendipity per FEO and/or per Admin’s Request

• Always ensuring Showroom and Serendipity is kept neat and clean and ready for showing

• Working with ownership to keep pride of company’s goals and mission

• Attend staff meetings as required.

• Perform small handyman tasks as required.

• Work within training guidelines by Pure Lush Staff staff

• Maintains safe and clean work environment by keeping shelves, pallet area, and work stations neat; Sweep, dust and mop.

• Organize warehouse and work area for orderliness at all times
• Process fresh florals inventory
• Weekly care of fresh florals inventory and counting

• Wear the proper safety equipment as necessary

• Conduct monthly inspection as per checklist

• Monthly tool & Equipment inventory

• Empty Garbage into dumpster

• Conduct safety checks and ensuring warehouse is in proper working order

• Clean i.e sweep and mop warehouse once per week.

• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Previous warehouse skills a definite asset

• Good time management skills

• Excellent organizational skills

• Outgoing, friendly, sense of team spirit

• Confident and dedicated
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
• Good communication

Job Types: Part-time, Casual

Salary: $16.00-$17.00 per hour
