What You Will Be Doing, as a Program Coordinator:
Consults with Technical Sales, Engineering Manager, Process Engineering and Manufacturing Supervisor to develop MS Project Schedules based on customer and project requirements, resources available both within the organization and outside, prior to project acceptance.
Provides budgets to the Technical Sales for the individual activities based on the input provided by the Technical Sales Representative, Engineering Manager, Manufacturing Supervisor and Quality Engineering to determine capacity requirements within the individual departments.
Solicits team members of the program team together with Department Managers and/or supervisor for each project and solicits feedback from the departments and team members on available capacity to meet deliverables.
Prepares and monitors budgets and provides feedback on available funds.
Creates Items and Bill(s) of Resources for the project in the ERP system to ensure consistency according to the company part numbering conventions.
Maintains and updates information within the ERP system.
Develops and implements strategy for the project team, including reporting critical path to meet customer’s expectation and supporting corrective actions to assure milestones are achieved.
Provides updates on project budgets on a biweekly basis or as needed pending on project status to the project team.
Meets with stakeholders to make communication easy and transparent regarding project challenges.
Identifies opportunities for improvement to project team members as well as to the management team.
What You Should Have, as a Program Coordinator:
Proven experience managing a team
Excellent problem solving ability
Effective communicator
Ability to work under pressure
Technical background an asset
Thorough understanding of project/program management techniques and methods
Minimum 5 years’ experience as a Project Coordinator in the automotive industry
Project Management Professional (PMP) designation is an asset
Proficiency in Microsoft Office; working knowledge of program/project management software (MS Project etc.) is a strong advantage
Excellent knowledge of GD&T
Ability to work in imperial and metric measurement systems
Fundamental knowledge of 2D and 3D Design software
No travelling restrictions into the USA - Mexico
Valid driver’s license
Remain current in job related training and upgrading
Working Knowledge of ISO and TS Quality Management Systems
Working conditions:
Work is performed in a manufacturing environment both in an office and plant floor.
Appropriate safety equipment must be worn based on the task being performed.
Dress code will vary from business formal to shop floor labour.
Stressful and time sensitive.
Overtime, off hour and on-call work may be required, flexible schedule.

The successful applicant may be eligible for an annual full-time incentive of up to $2,000 each year until 2024 as per MOU #31 of the current MNU collective
