Job Summary

Reporting to the Sr. Project Manager or Project Manager, the Project Coordinator will provide support to the project team in all aspects of the assigned projects. The Project Coordinator role is diverse, and varies between each project. This unique role will provide you with the opportunity to work in multiple roles for a successful design-build commercial contractor. With your Project Manager oversight, duties and responsibilities include and are not limited to:

Responsibilities

  • Assist with commercial construction projects, including liaison with Architects, Consulting Engineers, Subcontractors, the City of Calgary and Clients.
  • Assist the project team with coordination and project support.
  • Assist with the preparation and execution of the overall work plan and construction schedule.
  • Assist in the management of the control project document process.
  • Assist in the review, tracking and processing of shop drawings.
  • Assist in pricing change notices, site instructions & RFI’s.
  • Assist in collecting and managing all occupancy and O&M documents at the project close-out phase.
  • Resolve deficiencies in a timely manner and liaison with property management group
  • Provide other technical or administrative office support as required.
  • Assist with city permitting and utility applications.
  • Development of working drawings and required sketches, depending on skillset.

Qualifications

  • Post-secondary education or training in project management, construction, engineering or related diploma or degree programs.
  • Education in Project Management is considered an asset.
  • Commercial construction experience is preferred.
  • 1-3 years of commercial construction experience or Educational/field equivalent.
  • Education or experience in an Architectural Technologist role is considered an asset

Experience and skillset

  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office and other relevant office software.
  • Experience with Microsoft Project, AutoCAD, REVIT and Bluebeam is considered an asset.
  • Has knowledge of architectural design principles and procedures, relevant building codes and jurisdictional requirements.
  • Motivated and confident with excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
  • Highly organized, excellent time management skills and able to take direction and multitask.
  • Ability to meet job demands and deadlines in fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of Procore and Salus Pro is considered an asset
  • City of Calgary Permit submittals
  • · Work well with others in a team environment and contribute to the team.
